Pay Range: Part time $15.19 to start per Hour

OVERVIEW of Position and Duties:

Charlevoix County Commission on Aging is seeking two part time Charlevoix County Certified Nursing Aides.  This position is Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30a – 4:30p for up to 25 hours a week.  No Weekends, no evenings.  This position is responsible for assisting aging adults in their home environment with activities of daily living.  Routine duties include but are not limited to bathing, personal care, dressing, transferring, light housekeeping, light meal preparation and engaging in activities to assist with isolation and loneliness.  The right person needs to love to work with seniors, on an independent basis under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.  They should be creative, positive, outgoing, dependable, flexible.  Experience is preferred.

MANDATORY Requirements:

High School Diploma

Proof of current C.N.A (Certified Nurse Aide) registration within the State of Michigan or LPN Licensure.

A valid Michigan driver’s license

Valid vehicle insurance

Proof of CPR Certification

Be able to pass a skills competency exam administered by a Registered Nurse.

Must possess the physical abilities to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and be able to transfer items to and from vehicles.

Strong positive communication skills

Strong time management skills

Environment:

Home based environment within Charlevoix County, using a county provided vehicle.
