A longtime dream for East Jordan came to fruition in the spring of 2024. The Don & Eileen Klein Nature Trail from Sportsman’s Park to the Little Traverse Conservancy Rogers Family Homestead Nature Preserve is now complete. The universally accessible trail takes you along the beautiful Jordan River providing a continuous walkable off-road route from downtown East Jordan to the north end of the Rogers Preserve trail, a total of two miles one way (1/2 mile of Boardwalk). Benches, bump outs and Binoculars for viewing. You can hop on the Don & Eileen Klein Trail from Sportsman’s Park, Friends of the Jordan River Watershed Center or from the two parking areas of the Rogers Preserve. The trail is owned and maintained by the City of East Jordan.
Make your up north vacation the best one ever. Spend the day exploring the countryside and small towns and villages along C-48 the Breezeway.
The C-48 Breezeway is a well known scenic route connecting Atwood, Ellsworth, East Jordan and Boyne Falls. Not only is it the fastest route from point A (Atwood) to point B (Boyne Falls) but this 25 mile scenic rural ride is sure to please everyone. This scenic route offers everything from spectacular views, award winning cuisine, nature preserves, orchards, attractions, artisans, and much more. C-48 The Breezeway signs clearly mark its route through beautiful forests and valley vistas, drumlin carved hillsides dotted with orchards and various lakes along its way.
