Join the Northern Michigan Chorale, a choir group for adults, college and high school students. No auditions required. Rehearsals for our fall concert are Mondays 7 – 9 PM starting September 8th at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 1450 E. Mitchell Rd. in Petoskey. Early registration and music pick-up date is Monday August 25th from 6 – 7 PM. The 25th Anniversary Season for the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) opens at 7 PM on Saturday, September 6th in John M. Hall Auditorium, in Bay View, Petoskey. The performance, under the baton of Maestro Libor Ondras, will feature Beethoven’s Eroica and Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos.
Eroica, Beethoven’s favorite symphony, is widely considered a landmark in the transition between the Classical and Romantic era.
Mozart’s (only) Concerto for Two Pianos features guest piano soloists Tony Patterson and Casey Robards.
Also performed will be Match by Tony Patterson, and First Movement of Symphony in E-flat Major by Anton Eberl.
Tickets (Assigned seating at $35, $45, $65) are available at glcorchestra.org/concerts/ or at 231-487-0010. Call for complimentary tickets for veterans, active service members and students 18 and under.
