Rockin’ with GLCO Pops

Rockin’ with the GLCO Pops at 7 pm Tuesday, July 19th at Great Lakes Center for the Arts features internationally popular vocal group Rockapella with their full-band contemporary a cappella sound. The group will also collaborate with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra for favorites from Elton John, Three Dog Night, George Harrison and more.
The concert includes two other exciting orchestral works based on dance music of Mexico.
Huapango by José Pablo Moncayo is an enduring classic with exciting, rhythmic percussion and brass.
Danzon 2 by Arturo Marquez is one of the most popular and frequently performed Mexican contemporary classical pieces, with a dance form that originated in Cuba and became part of the folklore of Veracruz.

Jordan Art Walk Ribbon Cutting Event

Join the Jordan Art Walk Committee, the Artists and community as they cut the ribbons at the 7 new sculptures for 2022. The event will begin in Memorial Park at 10:30 AM and will travel along the Art Walk to each of the new sculptures.

Garden Club Flower Show

East Jordan Garden Club will show off their flower magic on July 30th at the Jordan River Arts Center from Noon – 4:00 PM

 

Everyone is welcome to stop in and view the show.
