Jordan River Arts Council
As a leader of the Jordan River area’s cultural community, the Jordan River Arts Council promotes, encourages, and nurtures the artistic endeavors of local residents and provides an organized framework through which quality workshops, classes, exhibits, programs and performances can be presented.

Recognizing its responsibility to nurture art in daily living and to provide participation opportunities in all areas of the arts, JRAC serves a diverse and growing community. To accomplish this mission, the Arts Council relies upon a volunteer Board of Directors and the cooperation and support of area communities.

The East Jordan Trailblazers is a private non- profit, social and

Fraternal organization dedicated to the advancement of

the sport of Motorized Recreation. The events and activities

described in this group were arranged for the

benefit of our members.

In addition to social and recreational activities,

our Club supports charitable causes in the interest of

public service and local citizenship.

East Jordan Trailblazers safety classes through our DNR certified instructors and makes continuing safety and technical education available to our members and the public through classes and seminars.

Motorized Recreational users who subscribe to the aims, goals and ethics of the East Jordan Trailblazers. and who agree to abide by the By-Laws and rules of the club are eligible to apply for membership

We are constantly in search of Snowmobile and ORV users who share our enthusiasm for this sport.

East Jordan Trailblazers is an affiliated commercial member club of the Michigan Snowmobile and ORV Association.

Don and Eileen Klein Nature Trail

A WONDERFUL NEW TRAIL FOR EVERYONE!

Calling people of all abilities who want to explore both City and country. Wheelchairs, strollers, and walkers are all welcome on what will be called the Don and Eileen Klein Nature Trail. This universally accessible trail and boardwalk will connect Sportsman’s Park to the Rogers Family Homestead Nature Preserve. The City of East Jordan will own and care for the trail. Little Traverse Conservancy has partnered with the City to make it possible.

ACCESS FOR ALL

This trail will:

add nearly a half mile of new trail;
connect trails that will provide as much as four miles round trip from downtown East Jordan;
include a raised boardwalk along the edge of the Jordan River offering up close views of the river and its wildlife;
cross several Conservancy nature preserves between the Friends of Jordan Watershed Center and the Rogers Preserve;
be the launching point for a larger trail
will include a trail endowment held by the Charlevoix County Community Foundation to provide for long-term care of the trail
