An identical workshop will be held at Birchwood Country Club in Harbor Springs on Wednesday\, October 30. Register for a workshop at https://impact100ltb.org/events/\nImpact100 awards high-impact\, sustainable grants in Emmet and Charlevoix Counties\, and members pool their $1\,000 annual dues and award grant(s) of at least $100\,000 to area nonprofits in five Focus Areas: Arts & Culture\, Education\, Environment\, Family\, and Health & Wellness.  As over 200 women have already joined this new LTB chapter\, at least two grants of at least $100\,000 will be awarded at their first Annual Awards in August 6\, 2025. SUMMARY:Little Waves Children’s Music Program from the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra
DESCRIPTION:The Little Waves children’s music program\, from the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO)\, is held six times during the year at the Petoskey District Library and Charlevoix Public Library.\nFree and open to the public and sponsored by the GLCO\, the program is designed to introduce young children (ages 3 – 10) and their families to music in an entertaining setting.  The program takes place on Saturdays at 10:30 am in Petoskey and 1 pm in Charlevoix.  It is a drop-in program with no need to register.  \nDirected by GLCO percussionist and Little Waves program director\, Tim Mocny\, each unique event features a multimedia musical story\, an opportunity to hear one or more GLCO musicians demonstrate and explain how their instruments work\, and fun music-related activities for kids.  \nUpcoming dates are Oct. 19\, 2024; Nov. 9\, 2024; Jan. 11\, 2025; Feb. 8\, 2025; March 8\, 2025; and April 12\, 2025.   \nLittle Waves is brought to our communities through the generosity of Norma Brown.
