We always need help clearing the nursery of encroaching pioneer plants and weeds\, but you’ll also learning about the importance of beach grass in a sandy environments\, and the positive impact it has on stilling erosion and improving wildlife habitat. To sign up and for directions\, please contact district manager\, Alison Adams at 231-582-6193. Lunch will be provided. \nDistrict Office Open House: The District is always open to the public\, but on July 17th\, 4pm-6pm join us to “Eat\, Meet and Learn” with conservation district staff\, board of directors and partner conservation groups. DESCRIPTION:The 25th Anniversary Season for the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra (GLCO) opens at 7 PM on Saturday\, September 6th in John M. Hall Auditorium\, in Bay View\, Petoskey. The performance\, under the baton of Maestro Libor Ondras\, will feature Beethoven’s Eroica and Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos.  \nEroica\, Beethoven’s favorite symphony\, is widely considered a landmark in the transition between the Classical and Romantic era. \nMozart’s (only) Concerto for Two Pianos features guest piano soloists Tony Patterson and Casey Robards. \nAlso performed will be Match by Tony Patterson\, and First Movement of Symphony in E-flat Major by Anton Eberl. \nTickets (Assigned seating at $35\, $45\, $65) are available at glcorchestra.org/concerts/ or at 231-487-0010.
